THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA FIRES WILL NOT AFFECT THE MTFCA 2018 NATIONAL TOUR

Many people have asked questions about the impact of the wildfires that impacted Sonoma County in October 2017. Please be assured that these fires will have had no impact on the dates, locations, and venues for the MTFCA 2018 National Tour. All of the organizers and venues appreciate the concern, but the tour is still on, with all of the planned dates, locations, and venues.

Thank you!

SCHEDULE

Welcome Get Together

6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

We will have a social hour gathering around the hotel pool to get to know everyone.

Happy Cow Tour

8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

The National Tour starts by touring through the iconic dairy lands leading to Point Reyes National Seashore. On the way back, REMTC members, the Nelson's, will serve refreshing root beer floats at their home, where you can tour their 50's diner.

Alexander Valley

8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

We will tour through the famous Alexander Valley wine country, home of some of the most prestigious vineyards in the world. The views of the vineyards are spectacular.

Old California Tour

8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

We will visit historic town of Sonoma, California. Sonoma has the northernmost California mission and many points of interest in early California history. We will also visit Jack London State Park. Sonoma County was the inspiration of many of London's works, and the former home of the famous writer has become a beautiful state park with much of the history of Jack London.

Redwood Coast Tour

8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

The National Tour travels through the Russian River area out to the Pacific Ocean. Bring binoculars as there is a fair chance of seeing migrating whales from Bodega Head. The tour may make an optional stop among California's legendary redwood forests, with trees measuring up to 300' tall.

Steam Sawmill Tour/BBQ Lunch

8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

The mill is a 105 year old fully operational steam powered sawmill; one of the last of its kind. Founded in 1914, Sturgeon's Mill has been lovingly restored to operate as a working museum. All of the equipment, tools, and steam engines are original. This sawmill is an authentic time capsule of late 19th - early 20th century saw-milling and logging in Western Sonoma County.

Say goodbye to old friends and new ones you've made on the tour with our Farewell Dinner Banquet at the DoubleTree Hotel in Rohnert Park.
